D-mat is a robust mat for industry heating and processing applications. The mat is made of FeCrAlM alloy fibers with excellent high temperature durability. It is a sintered mat with excellent dimension stability while still being flexible. The wave shape of the D-mat is similar to the corrugated sheet metals that are frequently used in the structures of heating devices. The wave feature allows a continuous thermal expansion adjustment upon heating and cooling. The mat is back flash proofunder all combustion situations, no matter what kind of fuel (including hydrogen gas). The low emission of combustion gas is due to the reduced combustion flame temperatures. See our gallery for more D-mat photos and videos
Combustion Characteristics The combustion characteristics of 3-D mat are listed in thefollowing charts. The D-mat can be operated in radiant mode within a range of 200-1200 Btu/in2/hr. For best radiant efficiency, the D-mat is recommended to operate near 550 Btu/in2/hr or 250 kw/m^2. D-mat is expected to last about 2-4 years working continuously at the recommended combustion intensity. Surface Temperature Radiant Heat Spectrum
